With dainty gray-green foliage, this cultivar of Mountain Mint sprawls over the garden with aromatic charm. In summer, delicate clusters of white and lavender blooms emerge like tiny fairies, beckoning bees and butterflies to land. 'Campbell Carpet' weaves a magical tapestry across the garden floor, growing up to 7’ wide in 3 years. When crushed or brushed against by clumsy gardeners, a minty herbal fragrance will waft across the space, discouraging mosquitos, rabbits and deer, and bringing joy to the gardener. This scent remains in the stems through winter, all the way to spring maintenance when the stems and their smoky purple seed heads are cut to the ground.
